Site Manager

📍 Location: Finland and overseas

🔎 We are looking for:

a Site Manager to lead demanding automated port crane delivery projects at customer sites. In this role, you take full responsibility for site operations and ensure that schedules, costs, safety, and technical requirements are under control. You are a proactive problem-solver who collaborates effectively with customers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders. Are you the Site Manager we are looking for?

📝 As a Site Manager, you will:

• Take full responsibility for managing the customer site in automated port crane delivery projects

• Plan, manage, and execute site activities in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner

• Oversee site schedule, costs, technical execution, and safety compliance

• Lead and supervise daily operations, including vessel unloading and cargo handling

• Coordinate local transfers, transport, and installation lifting operations

• Ensure mechanical and electrical completion for automation commissioning

• Manage field equipment (“yard”) installations and infrastructure interfaces

• Supervise subcontractors and manage contractual matters

• Lead and coordinate an international site team

• Maintain high standards of quality and safety across all activities

• Prepare and deliver accurate reports and site documentation

🎓 Your education and language skills:

• Degree in a technical or engineering field

• Excellent English language skills, both oral and written

• Finnish and other language skills are an advantage

🏆 To succeed, you have:

• ~10 years of experience managing demanding industrial construction or installation sites

• Experience leading international teams (approx. 20 people)

• Strong experience in subcontractor supervision and contract management

• Proven background in heavy industry projects involving steel structures, lifting and transport operations, and electrical and automation installations

• Strong understanding of large-scale project delivery and site operations

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with customers and stakeholders

• Willingness to travel globally and work on long-term assignments abroad (1–2 years)
